The Vision Behind Soluna
Meet, Angie, your local RCST® and Yucatec Maya practitioner. Over the years, Angie has created a strong foundation for whole systems care. Providing ample space for conversation and integration allows Angie to focus on and prioritize the needs of her clients. With years of experience in Healing Early Imprints as an educator and Somatic Therapist, her practice continues to support her clients in metabolizing material from moments that are stored within the soma, often held from early on in life, and seem to be cyclical or repetitive in nature (automobile accidents, reoccurring injuries, acute and chronic symptoms are all examples).
Soluna offers complementary and alternative therapies to allopathic medicine, which allows Angie to partner both with her client and their health care team. Over the years, Angie has developed a practice that has gifted her the opportunity to work with a diverse client base. She has experience working in the following areas: pregnancy, home birth, NICU, postpartum, Children’s Hospital, out-patient, hospice and bereavement.
She provides observation of the cranial rhythms throughout a session and has a warm and compassionate bedside manner that puts her clients at ease. Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a non-invasive, hands-on session for the whole body. Emphasizing the fluid motion by palpating the craniosacral system and tracking the cranial rhythms, which makes it ideal for anyone wishing to decompress and tend their nervous system. BCST is uniquely compatible for those sensitive to touch, proximity, and overwhelm. Yucatec Maya Healing on the other hand is highly sensorial and rich with the smell of burning copal, spoken prayer, the texture, taste, and scent of aromatic herbs, and plant brushing all while receiving hands-on bodywork which incorporates pulse reading, massage (classic to deep tissue) and womb massage. Both modalities offer the gift of a nervous system reset and are designed to be restorative and healing.
Angie has a quaint treatment room in a charming farm house, turned healing hub, located in Longmont, CO. She shares this office space with a dear friend and local acupuncturist, Allison Dodge. She has years of experience studying and practicing BCST, Yucatec Maya Healing, and has maternal ties to the earth-centered healing arts of MesoAmerica, which her grandmother, Gloria Gonzales Huerta, shared with her in childhood and into adolescents. With a present and wakeful heart, Angie looks forward to meeting you right where you’re at and supporting your inherent treatment plan and amplifying the health that’s never lost.
